What type of anesthesia is required for Plastic Surgery?
Most plastic surgery operations can be performed safely under Local Anesthesia with Intravenous Sedation administered by a Board Certified Anesthesiologist. Lower body surgeries such as abdominoplasty are usually performed under Spinal Anesthesia. We work with the same anesthesiology team every day in a private surgical center, meeting the highest standards of safety required by the American Association For Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF).
What happens after surgery?
Patients having facelifts, breast reductions, abdominoplasty, and body sculpting procedures are taken care of post-operatively by one of our Private Duty Nurses for 24 – 48 hours. These nurses are expertly trained and highly skilled in monitoring you postoperatively and assisting in a rapid recovery.

Fillers, Botox, Fat Grafting
Very common cosmetic procedures. These are often done in combination with facial surgery.
Peels, laser, dermabrasion. To improve skin texture and reduce wrinkles and sun damage. These are often performed at the same time as Facelift or Eyelid Surgery.
Patients often inquire about having surgery on several areas at the same time. Commonly combined procedures are facelift and eyelid surgery, breast reduction/lifting, abdominoplasty, and liposuction. Dr. Levine operates very efficiently and can usually keep these combined procedure time to less than 5-6 hours, minimizing the risk of possible complications. Combining procedures offers the advantages of a single exposure to anesthesia and one recovery period.
